Musica Adriaticus – Chris Duckenfield (Popular Peoples Front)

I love it when a DJ flips the script and decides to put a mix or track out that shows a totally different side to them. Here Chris Duckenfield does exactly that … laying down a blissed out selection of sounds ideal for the early hours and hazy days. A bespoke collection stitched together with an impeccable ear, done especially for his fave Croatian club, Sirup. We’re also very pleased to hear Mark E’s remix of White Elephant’s “Sir John” on Redux sounding very at home on here too. If this mix was a piece of furniture it would definitely be a big baggy hammock. Here’s what Chris had to say about it…..

“Sirup is one of my favourite places to play, a musically open and totally up for anything vibe, which is always a joy. When their superhero resident Pytzek asked me about doing a Podcast for them, I immediately wanted to share something which wasn’t a straightforward crash, bang, wallop club set, but something that can be played early in the morning, fuzzy-headed & still basking in the glow of the night before. Inspired by those magical summer days & nights on the Adriatic coast.”

Tune in, turn on…
